Department for Transport’s Active Travel Fund

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority and our Partner Councils are working to deliver a wide ranging programme of proposals to create more space for cycling and walking, funded through the DfT’s Active Travel funding.

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority has been awarded £12.5 million from the Department for Transport’s Active Travel Fund to deliver an a programme of ambitious proposals to create more space for cycling and walking, while easing the pressure on public transport and relieving congestion.

In partnership with local authorities, the Combined Authority will deliver a wide-ranging programme of new cycling and walking measures, with schemes starting in the coming weeks.

Consultation Plan

As part of the delivery of projects that will be funded through Tranche 2 of the Department for Transport's Active Travel Funding, successfully secured by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority in November 2020, the Combined Authority along with our Partner Councils will be following the Consultation Framework, outlined here
