We are working to understand the impact of COVID-19 on West Yorkshire and putting in place measures to support people, jobs, transport, and help our region’s economy recover.
COVID-19 is the greatest challenge most people in West Yorkshire and the UK have seen during their lifetimes. It has challenged our social, economic and commercial institutions and caused major disruption to how we live, work and travel.
The West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership are working with partners across the region to steer the economic recovery in a direction that offers hope and prosperity for the future.
We are developing robust plans for the region’s recovery that will help to support good jobs and skills and build an inclusive and sustainable economy for the future. These will be supported by transport options that allow people to travel in safety and with confidence, and the right infrastructure to enable growth.
