A new report from IPPR North, 'Quick Wins for the North's Transport network' has been published. The report can be downloaded from the IPPR website

Responding to the IPPR North report, Cllr Judith Blake, Lead on Transport for the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leader of Leeds City Council, said:

"This report adds to the already compelling case for significant investment in transport in the North of England to unlock our full economic potential in a way that delivers for all our communities."

"The need to demonstrate progress in the short, medium and long term is central to our investment programmes, including the West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund, City Connect and Connecting Leeds, which are delivering improved public transport journeys, new cycle and walking routes, better access to the rail network and new roads."

"We need Government to continue to invest so we can keep the momentum going and fund both quick wins across the North and the development work for the longer term projects."
