West Yorkshire Combined Authority has been working with Bradford Council and local bus company TLC and to make it easier for people to get to the citys Oastler Market.
A new shuttle bus service between Bradford Interchange and the Oastler Market has been launched with a special Combined Authority-funded fare of just 50p each way. The Markets Shuttle Service is being run by local bus company TLC as part of existing routes in the city centre. People can also catch services 635, 643 or 644 to the Interchange from either bus stop J1 on John Street or W4 on Westgate.
Cllr Keith Wakefield, Chair of West Yorkshire Combined Authoritys Transport Committee said: from WYCA, said: I am pleased that the Combined Authority has been able to help support Bradfords Oastler Market by negotiating this ticketing initiative and providing marketing to make the public aware of the opportunity to travel to the market by bus.
Coun Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Councils Executive Member for Regeneration, Planning and transport, said:
Weve got some great offers at Oastler Market and now its going to be easier than ever to get there with this new shuttle service. Were delighted to be working with TLC and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority to put this in place.
