MCard Day Saver tickets are passports to great days out in West Yorkshire
DaySaver tickets are the passport to great days out in West Yorkshire, from as little as 5.
Loaded onto a Pink MCard smartcard, DaySaver tickets can be used on any bus, any time throughout West Yorkshire. There are 100s of bus routes to choose from stretching from Pontefract to the Pennines and from Harewood to Holmfirth.
DaySavers cost just 5.50 for a full days travel but when bought in bulk for three, five or ten-day periods, the price works out as just 5 per day. DaySavers arent date specific and are valid for 12 months, so can be used whenever they are needed.
Flexibility
Pink MCards are available free online from the MCard website (new tab) and from Travel Centres and ticket machines at Bus Station or for 2 at West Yorkshires 700 Payzone stores. Pink MCards are not photocards giving them the flexibility to be shared by friends and family on the days they want to travel.
Once people have a Pink MCard they can load them with DaySavers at Payzone outlets, from MCard ticket machines at bus stations and from Bus Station Travel Centres.Leading travel smartcard
West Yorkshire Combined Authority Transport Committee Chair Cllr Keith Wakefield said: Loading DaySavers to your MCard gives you access to a whole days travel right across the county.
MCard is the leading travel smartcard in the North, which people are using across the county to make 320,000 bus and train journeys every week. The West Yorkshire Ticketing Company has been rolling out the MCard scheme since 2014. The scheme is run by all the bus and train operators across West Yorkshire and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
As MCard has progressed with the scheme members have taken note of the developments people told us they want to see, such as machines to load travel at bus stations and interchanges, and have worked to make them a reality.
These developments along with improvements in up-to-the-minute travel information updates help make bus and train travel simpler and more attractive to greater numbers of people which, in turn, help reduce costly congestion and deliver much-needed improvements in air quality.
To get their hands on a Pink MCard and find more information, people should visit the MCard website (opens in new window).
