When it opens in the autumn, the expansion will provide 375 extra parking spaces and a new waiting area for passengers.
Baby changing
The new, heated waiting facility will have toilets and baby changing facilities, ticket machines and real-time information on bus services to and from the city centre. The new, fully-lit parking area will have CCTV coverage and will include more spaces for electrical vehicle charging.
Opened in June 2014, Elland Road Park and Ride is open Monday to Saturday (except on Saturday Match Days) from 7am to 9.15pm with buses running every 10 minutes until 7pm.
Tickets for the 10-minute journey to and from the city centre cost from just �2.70 per day. Customers can make multiple journeys on each Adult Day Ticket and can take up to three children up to the age of 16 with them, for free.

Capacity
Elland Road Park & Ride�s upgraded overflow parking area was opened in February. With the existing, 425-space car park frequently being filled to capacity, increasing numbers of passengers had been using an unmade-up area as an overflow car park. To improve conditions for those people, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council funded a new, surfaced overspill car park with over 100 marked out spaces, floodlighting, CCTV coverage and pedestrian access point.
In the light of the Elland Road scheme�s success, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Leeds City Council are developing a new, 1,000-space park and ride at Temple Green in east Leeds through the �1bn Growth Deal Transport Fund.
West Yorkshire Combined Authority is progressing a widespread package of road and rail schemes designed to underpin economic growth through its �1bn, 10-year Transport Fund Programme. The schemes are forecast to create up to 20,000 jobs across the Leeds City Region.
