The West Yorkshire Combined Authority (Election of Mayor and Functions) Order 2021
Following the abolition of the office of Police and Crime Commissioner and the transfer of functions to the Mayor, the financial year of the Police and Crime Commissioner and the Chief Constable has been extended to the 9 May 2021 under Regulation 41 of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (Election of Mayor and Functions) Order 2021.
Notice is given that the unaudited Statement of Accounts for the year ended 9 May 2021 and will be published on this website.
The period for the exercise of public rights commences on 30 July 2021 until 13 September 2021.
During the above period, any person may:
- Insect the accounting records for the financial year 2020/21, and all documents relating to those records
- Make copies of all or any part of those records or documents
Under normal circumstances inspection of these documents may take place on any working day during the period between 10am and 4pm at West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Wellington House, 40/50 Wellington Street, Leeds LS1 2DE, and West Yorkshire Police PO Box 9, Wakefield WF1 3QP, if you have given us reasonable notice that you want to do so.
However, under the current Covid-19 situation, if you want to inspect the accounting records or other documents, please write to:
policingandcrime@westyorks-ca.gov.uk or finance.accounting@westyorkshire.police.uk (please mark for the attention of the Chief Finance Officer)
Please note there is no entitlement to inspect or copy any record or document containing information which is protected or contains personal information.
If you want to ask questions, or object to the accounts, you can contact the Grant Thornton UK LLP, 110 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4AY.This must be in writing, and clearly set out the grounds on which you are objecting. You must also send a copy to the Chief Finance Officer at the addresses below.
The rights to question and object must be exercised within the period of 30 working days referred to above.
