Vision Zero Launch Event

We’re holding a free family friendly road safety event at Lister Park in Bradford, and we’d love to see you there.

It takes place on Tuesday 13th August from 10am and includes interactive stalls, a fire engine, a police car, a reaction tester and much more.

The West Yorkshire Vision Zero Strategy, which sets out how we plan to reduce all road deaths and serious injuries in the county to zero by 2040, will also be launched on the day.

Who will be there

Stalls will include:

  • The West Yorkshire Combined Authority
  • West Yorkshire Police
  • West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service
  • Naomi Cheri Gough Foundation
  • National Highways
  • Victim Support

You’ll be able to see emergency services vehicles, test your driving reactions, receive cycling support and mark your bike, as well as being able to have your say on road safety, public transport, and policing and crime priorities, plus much more.

The event is taking place at Lister Park in Bradford, BD9 4NS on Tuesday 13th August.

It starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm.

There is a cafe located on site within Cartwright Hall and toilet facilities will also be provided.

Getting to Lister Park

The location of the event is marked on the map with an arrow.

If you plan to travel by train, Frizinghall Train Station, Bradford BD2 1AW is the closest to the park, at 0.5 miles away. For help planning your journey, visit Trainline.

If you plan to travel by car, Maps location is North Park Road, Bradford, BD9 4NR. There is limited parking available onsite but on street parking is available in the park’s vicinity.

If you plan to travel by bus, there are a number of bus stops near the park. You can find out more and see timetables on Arriva's website.
