Beech Hill Phase 2
Comprehensive energy efficiency improvements will be made to 70 mixed tenure residential properties which will reduce the heating demand within the properties, alleviate fuel poverty and bring health and financial benefits to the residents.
Project Scope
Phase 2 Beech Hill will concentrate on delivering housing energy efficiency improvements, which include new pitched roofs, insulated cladding and new windows to 70 flat roofed mixed tenure properties, Works will be completed by the Council in partnership with Together Housing, a social landlord, local residents and private landlords and will help tackle fuel poverty to create warmer, healthier homes and reduce carbon emissions. These works will enhance the previous phase 1 works to regenerate housing on the Beech Hill Estate.
Outputs
This scheme is expected to achieve the following outputs:
- Create 5 construction jobs
- Carry out energy efficiency home improvements to 70 properties
- Reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 3,705 tonnes of CO2 over the lifetime of the measures
