Growing Places Fund Garnetts Leeds
We’re investing a loan from the Growing Places Fund to regenerate an ex-paper mill site on the Otley riverside into a housing site with a riverside restaurant and visitor centre. The site has created over 230 homes and 30 jobs.

In addition, our loan is helping to fund an innovative hydro-electric scheme - that will see the development become completely carbon neutral – a new access road that will be able to divert and contain flood water, and better riverside access for the public.
About the Growing Places Fund (LEP Loans)
The Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Growing Places Fund provides loan funding to kick-start stalled development or infrastructure projects that will create homes, jobs and other economic benefits in the Leeds City Region. The initial £35.5m Growing Places Fund investment was provided by Government in 2012, specifically to invest in development schemes that are unable to proceed due to a lack of commercial finance.
