Bus Priority Corridors - A61 South
A project to implement bus priority measure to the south of Leeds city centre.
This project will implement a series of improvements along the A639 and A61 between M621 Junction 7 and the junction of A61 Great Wilson Street and Meadow Lane. This will include the provision of new bus lanes along the corridor in both directions, bus priority measures at signal, and improvements to the Thwaite Gate junction. There will also be dedicated walking and cycling facilities and improvements to urban realm and green infrastructure.
The works are currently underway, with construction progressing well. It is anticipated that works will complete in early 2022.
