Bus Priority Corridors - A647
This project aims to improve the bus network between Bradford and Leeds, through Stanningley, Bramley and Armley.
This project will make improvements to large sections of bus lanes along the A647 corridor, as well as a number of bus priority measures at traffic signals. There will also be junction improvements made at Ledgard Way and Town End roundabout, as well as dedicated walking facilities and improvements to green infrastructure.
The project is funded through the Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme, and went into delivery in late 2020. The works will reduce, and increase the reliability of, bus journey times as well as providing improved pedestrian facilities. The project will benefit existing bus and pedestrian users along the corridor as well as stimulating additional demand for these transport modes.
