FlexiBus East Leeds

Map showing the East Leeds Flexi bus travel coverage zone, stating that you can travel anywhere to anywhere within the zone as well as key locations marked outside the zone. Key locations marked within the zone include Crossgates Rail Station, Thorpe Park/The Springs, Colton Retail Park, Temple Newsam, Temple Green Park & Ride, Leeds Enterprise Zone, Cross Green, Hunslet Morrisons and Richmond Hill. Other locations within the zone include Whinmoor, Swarcliff, Stanks, Cross Gates, Graveley Thorpe, Whitkirk, Colton Common, Colton, Halton, Halton Moor, Bank and Fearn's Island. Locations outside of the zone include Leeds Bus Stations / Leeds Market (Off Peak Only), St James's Hospital, Killingbeck Asda and Seacroft centre (Tesco).

This project is trialling a digitally enabled Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service in East Leeds. The pilot sees the introduction of zero emission, flexible and agile bus service based on demand rather than a traditional fixed route of scheduled bus services.

The pilot is the first trial of digital DRT within West Yorkshire and will be used to evaluate the impact, effectiveness and commercial viability of the DRT service for the wider roll out of the service model in West Yorkshire.

During its trial the FlexiBus service will operate within the zone shown in the above diagram.

This project is funded through the Leeds Public Transport Investment Programme and the Local Transport Plan Integrated Block Programme, and Section 106 contributions.
