Leeds Bradford Airport Parkway Rail Station

This project aims to improve access to the airport and the surrounding existing and proposed office and industrial developments by public transport, and provide a park and ride service for residents of north west Leeds and the wider catchment area.

The new rail station would be located in the existing Leeds - Harrogate railway line, between Horsforth station and the southern entrance of the Bramhope Tunnel. It will provide a rail interchange to serve LBA and a parkway function to serve the large catchment area between north Leeds and Harrogate.

It is proposed that shuttle buses will run between the station and the airport on a new spur road and a 350 space park and ride car park will be constructed.

The benefits of the project will be improved public transport modal share and improved connectivity and public transport links to LBA. The project will also support one of the region’s key Employment Growth spatial priority areas.
