Bus Station CCTV Upgrade

This project aims to reduce the costs of the CCTV system and improve performance and resilience. The project will implement 228 new digital CCTV cameras in 26 buildings across West Yorkshire.

The Combined Authority currently has an analogue CCTV system with the following components:

  • Data Collection CCTV Cameras (Assets owned by WYCA. Maintained by Quadrant)
  • Data Transfer Fibre-Optic network (Assets owned by BT Redcare, who is a ‘single-supplier’)
  • Data Monitoring Middleton Control Centre (Assets owned by the Combined Authority. Leeds City Council (LCC) is a ‘single-supplier’ of the operation and maintenance).

This project aims to reduce the costs of the CCTV system and improve performance and resilience. The project will implement 228 new digital CCTV cameras in 26 buildings across West Yorkshire. 

These changes will ensure the Combined Authority’s assets are maintained as well as providing a revenue saving.
