Priority 2: Skilled People Better Jobs

We live in a global economy in which we have to compete with others for jobs in a rapidly changing world. We recognise that there is a skills gap in our region and we want to address that gap and provide people with the tools to improve their employability, access jobs and realise their potential.

Our Strategic Economic Plan (SEP) aims to meet future job demands and enable people from all communities in the Leeds City Region to secure more and better jobs.

We want to give people great educational opportunities which are closely connected to business and to build workforce skills and attract talent to our city region.
