Calderdale College - Unlocking Potential

In partnership with the LEP, we’ve invested £4.9 million of Leeds City Region Growth Deal funding into the refurbishment and upgrade of the Percival Whitley Centre in Halifax, is enhancing the curriculum offer in helping to train the next generation of advanced engineering & manufacturing, digital & creative media, and health & social care.

Our £4.9 million Leeds City Region Growth Deal investment into Calderdale College, in Halifax, is helping to train the next generation of advanced engineering & manufacturing, digital & creative media, and health & social care students.

Funding was used to refurbish and upgrade the college’s Percival Whitely Centre, which was formally opened in March 2017.

The refurbishment work was part of the ‘Unlocking Potential’ project, a multi-million pound building programme jointly funded by Calderdale College and the Leeds City Region Growth Deal.
