A641 Bradford Huddersfield Corridor

The A641 between Bradford, Brighouse and Huddersfield, including the A644 between Brighouse and the M62’s Junction J25 is an important manufacturing corridor that forms part of West Yorkshire’s Key Route Network.

Carrying more than 20,000 vehicles a day, the route has significant traffic congestion issues in a number of locations.

Reducing journey times along the route will increase economic investment in the area by unlocking land for employment and housing growth, as well as improving conditions for all users. This will include increasing the use of sustainable transport and improving facilities for public transport.

The project will be delivered in cooperation with the investment projects managed by both Kirklees Council and Bradford Council.
