Leeds Bradford International Airport Link Route
A new route is proposed to give more direct access to the airport from the South, linking in to the A65 North of the outer ring road.
This is intended to improve travel times to the airport by car and bus, relieve congestion on the radial routes and reduce rat-running on unsuitable minor roads. The objectives of the link road are:
- To reduce journey times to the airport by car and bus
- To improve journey time reliability for the bus services from Leeds City Centre to LBIA
- To facilitate increased patronage on the bus services from Leeds City Centre
