Rail Park and Ride Phase 1 - Normanton

Over £1million of West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund will be invested in Normanton railway station; it will increase station parking spaces by over 200% once the work is complete.

Currently used by 240,000 passengers per year, the extended railway station car park will include extra blue badge spaces, provision for electric vehicle charging points, additional lighting and CCTV.

Normanton railway station is one of 14 stations within our Rail Park and Ride Programme designed to extend car parks and improve residents’ access to jobs, training and leisure opportunities in urban centres.
