Garforth

At Garforth rail station, work is underway to add an additional 80 parking spaces that will meet increased demand and alleviate on-street parking. Funded by the West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund, the £1.129 million scheme is due to complete by late December 2019.

In addition to 80 additional rail park and ride spaces, this scheme will provide CCTV, LED lighting, enhanced cycle provision and enhanced drainage.

Garforth rail station is one of 14 projects within Phase 1 of our Rail Park and Ride Programme, which has been designed to increase station parking and provide people with increased access to train services. In turn, this will help reduce congestion, improve local air quality and enhance people’s access to jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as leisure activities.
