Normanton
At Normanton rail station, over £1million of West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund will be invested.
Normanton
Currently used by 240,000 passengers per year, the extended rail station car park will include extra blue badge spaces, CCTV, LED lighting and electrical ducting to make possible any future Electric Vehicle charging points.
Normanton rail station is one of 14 stations within Phase 1 of our £30.5 million Rail Park and Ride Programme, which has been designed to increase station parking and provide people with increased access to train services. In turn, this will help reduce congestion, improve local air quality and enhance people’s access to jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as leisure activities.
