Steeton & Silsden
At Steeton and Silsden rail station, we’re investing over £3.5 million from the West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund in a new 3-level car park.
Steeton & Silsden
Comprising approximately 250 spaces, including nine Blue Badge bays, the car park will consist of ground, first and second floors, a lift, CCTV and low energy LED lighting.
As well as improving people’s access to the local rail network, the extended car park will help alleviate nearby on-street parking.
Steeton and Silsden rail station is one of 14 projects within Phase 1 of our Rail Park and Ride Programme, which has been designed to increase station parking and provide people with increased access to train services. In turn, this will help reduce congestion, improve local air quality and enhance people’s access to jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as leisure activities.
