Urban Traffic Management

The West Yorkshire Integrated UTMC Centre will combine the existing 4 UTC teams within West Yorkshire into one combined service. This will be based in a new single location and will include new hardware and software to enable better network management.

The new UTMC will enable better management of congestion across the West Yorkshire road network, leading to improved air quality and promoting economic growth for the region. This scheme is seen as an enabler to other schemes within the WY+TF and highways efficiency programme, to ensure they fully meet their benefits realisation in unlocking growth.
