West Yorkshire Combined Authority are seeking to appoint a Business Change and Training Specialist to join our ICT Services section.

The Role

Reporting to the ICT Programme Manager, you will provide expertise for the organisations’ on business change and training specifically relating to the ICS project. This role is important for the delivery of future ICT projects and business changes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the training on the new integrated corporate systems (ICS), working with the technical ICT project team and systems users across the organisation, to deliver new ways of working that drive maximum value from the new systems.
  • Lead the staff engagement and communication activities for ICS with a focus on the new implemented system being an enabler to more effective and efficient business processes.
  • Develop high quality training materials and guides that support users at all levels and at all stages of the project.
  • Work in partnership with external delivery partners to achieve joint project objectives.

About you

We’re looking for someone with experience and understanding of ICT software and hardware, experience which allows them to lead on business change and training within the organisation. Importantly, your skills and knowledge will allow you to step in and undertake activities which will steer and direct any future business change. Your communication skills will be a key part of your success in this role.

 

Key elements:

 

  • Lead on software training for colleagues across disparate departments on the ICS project. 
  • Lead on and manage staff engagement and motivation across the organisation on the ICS project. 
  • Build mutual respect and trust with internal delivery colleagues and delivery partners.

 

Providing a first-class customer service is key and here you’ll lead by example.  Importantly, your gravitas and people skills will allow you to communicate technology matters to a wide range of stakeholders in a tailored way that brings others on side.

 

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:

 

  • Hold a degree in an ICT related discipline or relevant demonstrable practical experience.
  • Comprehensive experience of business change.
