We are looking to appoint a Business Improvement Officer to join our Transformation and Performance Team.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Combined Authority, following the announcement of a £1.8bn devolution deal that has been secured for West Yorkshire. Devolution will enable us to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and help deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.

The Role

Reporting into the Corporate Programme Manager, the key responsibilities are but not limited to:

  • Supporting the delivery of the Combined Authority’s key corporate programmes to deliver outputs and outcomes to time, cost and quality.
  • Undertaking day to day project and programme management activities to support the Corporate Programme manager
  • Providing efficient and confidential support for senior level board meetings.
  • Supporting the delivery of business improvement initiatives, helping to drive continuous improvement across the organisation

About you

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work across a range of complex projects simultaneously.
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant education/experience.
  • Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
  • Experience of working within a PRINCE 2 (or equivalent) environment.
