The Role

The Combined Authority has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Category Lead within our Procurement and Contracts Management team.  This role will be crucial in providing and developing commercial expertise in the construction category for the organisation and working collaboratively at a regional level to embed best practice.  The post holder will lead on highly complex and strategic procurements and provide central, strategic contract management for some of our high-profile programmes including Transforming Cities.


The Person

You will have an excellent track record of successfully delivering procurements and providing contract management oversight for construction projects.  You will be an expert in your category and have excellent working knowledge of model contracts and public procurement law.  You must hold a relevant professional qualification and have experience in people management.
