We’re recruiting a communications and marketing specialist with expertise in delivering strategic communications plans, behaviour change campaigns and developing brands in a fast-paced environment.

This is a new role with an opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives as we look to the future of transport across our region.

The successful candidate will be based in our award-winning Marketing team and work closely with the colleagues across our directorates.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Combined Authority, following the announcement of a £1.8bn devolution deal that has been secured for West Yorkshire. Devolution will enable us to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and help deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.

 

The Role

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of impactful integrated marketing and communications campaigns across the full mix of earned, owned and paid media
  • Delivery of strategic communications plans, developing and testing messaging, briefing senior leaders and securing media coverage
  • Reviewing, evolving and future proofing consumer facing brands
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and with suppliers including partner councils, agencies and media

About you

This is a varied role which will suit an individual with experience across the full marketing and communications mix, proficient at managing multiple projects and working with a range of stakeholders. You will have the following key skills, attributes and experience but not be limited to:

  • skilled in delivering integrated marketing and communications campaigns targeting consumer and business audiences
  • experience of delivering successful strategic communications plans including media relations and securing local, regional and national coverage
  • experience of relationship building and collaboration in a partnership environment.
