We are seeking to appoint an Enterprise Co-ordinator to our Schools Partnership Team. You will pro-actively engage businesses and schools within the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) Enterprise Advisor Network and Career Hubs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with a wide range of schools and businesses across Leeds City Region, engaging and influencing business and school leaders to support and improve Careers education. The role is a key part of the Careers and Enterprise Company’s flagship Enterprise Adviser programme and Careers Hubs in Leeds City Region.
The Enterprise Coordinator will support a caseload of schools and colleges to improve their careers and enterprise programmes and to engage with the world of work, whilst also working with local and national employers to work with schools and colleges to;
- Build Networks
- Support Careers Leaders
- Achieve the Gatsby Benchmarks
We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are prepared to work flexibly and as part of a growing team in a high-profile and demanding environment - often working to tight deadlines. You will have a proven track record of business engagement within a skills or wider environment, will be someone who can contribute to making a difference to young people’s employability in Leeds City Region and it would be beneficial.
It is an exciting time to be joining the Combined Authority, following the announcement that a £1.8bn devolution deal has been secured for West Yorkshire. Devolution will enable us to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and help deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.
Reporting into the Lead Enterprise Coordinator- Careers Hubs, your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide support, coordination, and challenge to school senior leadership teams to contribute to their strategic careers plan.
- Pro-actively engaging businesses to support Schools and Colleges through the Enterprise Advisor Network.
- Introduce and match Enterprise Advisers to local schools, equipping and training Advisers to fulfil the role.

You will have the following key skills, attributes and experience but not be limited to:
- Able to develop strategic partnerships with businesses and schools
- Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders
Track record of delivering project outcomes and improving performance.
