The Trade and Inward Investment team promotes the Leeds City Region’s interests on a national and international scale, securing inward investment, jobs and growth. The region has demonstrated a strong record in investment. Direct Investment and we are now rolling out an ambitious programme of profile raising and lead generation activity to meet our growth aspirations. 

The role

We are looking to appoint an Events Manager who will plan and deliver key events aimed at promoting Leeds City Region as a destination for inward investment within national and international markets.

Activities will include:

  • Taking a lead role in the delivery of the Leeds City Region presence at the annual property and investment conference MIPIM.
  • Responsibilities will include the curating the events programme, securing private sector sponsorship and managing the Leeds City Region delegation
  • Planning and delivery of multiple initiatives undertaken by the Trade and Inward Investment team including major events and the organisation of investor visits to the city region
  • Matrix working will be a key element of this role with close working required across the Trade and Inward Investment and Marketing and Communications teams.

The role is a permanent, full-time position.

The person

You will be experienced in managing multiple projects quickly and establishing positive relationships with both public and private sector stakeholders.

A strong commercial focus, working knowledge of the property market and investment trends, and experience of working in a fast paced, client driven, events management environment is desirable.
