WYCA is now responsible for the delivery of the £1.8 billion devolution deal for West Yorkshire and is the home of the newly elected West Yorkshire Mayor, Tracy Brabin, the first woman to be elected as a Metro Mayor.

Additionally, we are about to embark on a major digital transformation project to replace our legacy Finance and HR applications into one new combined Enterprise Resource Planning system. This Integrated Corporate System (ICS) will equip staff with best in class tools to support the work of the Authority.

We are looking to appoint a number of key roles in our HR and Finance teams who will work closely within the wider implementation project team on this new system and will also work on some general operational work in the team to support and allow the release of current team members to input into the project

The Role

This role is a key role in the HR Team.  As the postholder you will be the project lead from HR for the HR systems element of the ICS project and will have an exciting unique opportunity to help implement and shape the system moving forward.

Reporting into the HR Business Partner, your key responsibilities, in addition to the above, will include:

  • Working alongside the existing Data, Systems and Establishment Specialist, being an HR technical expert on all HR data and information systems, managing and controlling all aspects of these together with associated HR data and any GDPR implications
  • Working on the development and provision of management information, key performance indicators and data in relation to HR metrics and business wide requirements, providing appropriate reporting and analysis to support HR’s and the Combined Authority’s business plans and strategies

About you

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience

  • Educated to degree level in a business field, or significant practical experience of data systems.
  • Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role
  • Experience of working within a confidential and sensitive environment.
  • Significant knowledge of HR systems and extraction of data
