Here are the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, we are looking to develop our ICT Services Team to further support the business as we undergo a period of change and become a Mayoral Authority.  As such, we are looking to appoint two ICT Infrastructure Engineers to join the team. Working as part of the senior technical team offering 3rd line support you will be responsible for the design, installation and continuing support of the Combined Authority’s critical systems and infrastructure.

Devolution will enable us to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and help deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038. The CA bring together local councils and businesses, through the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) ensure that our work meets the needs of employers so that everyone in our region can benefit from economic prosperity supported by a modern, accessible transport network, housing and digital connections.

The Role

Reporting into the ICT Technical Services Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Design, build and support the Office 365 and Microsoft Azure platforms.
  • Support internal networks, firewalls, and connectivity.
  • Implement security and end point protection in line with NCSC guidelines.
  • Be a senior escalation point for all Incidents and Problems via a structured ICT Service Desk function.

About you

We are really interested in speaking to applicants who have experience in the following areas:

  • Office 365, InTune and Azure platform management.
  • LAN, WAN, WLAN and connectivity technologies including Cisco, Meraki and Palo Alto.
  • Working as a senior engineer in a similar sized organisation with a proven track record of technical abilities.
