The Combined Authority brings together district partners, the business community via Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and also takes in the former Passenger Transport Executive (branded Metro). Overall, the Combined Authority covers a population of around 2.5 million people and represents the largest economy outside London.

 

The role

Our success is reliant on effective and efficient systems of governance, risk and control, and an internal audit service to match.  We are looking to appoint an Internal Auditor as part of that team.

You will perform internal audit assignments across a range of West Yorkshire Combined Authority’s services, delivering audit programmes to reach sound assurance opinions and identifying solutions to manage risks and drive service improvement along with the provision of consultancy, support and guidance.

 

The person

Our team needs talented individuals who are self-motivated and effective influencers who can adapt to change and challenge.

You will have strong analytical, evaluation and communication skills and a good understanding of internal audit tools and techniques, with a relevant qualification (such as CIA or AAT) and with experience in Internal Audit.

Secondment opportunities will be considered for this post, however, in line with the Combined Authority’s Secondments Policy, you must have 12 months’ service in your current role.
