An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced and highly motivated Project Managers to join the Combined Authority where all employees play a leading role in reshaping our local economy and forging better futures for millions of people.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for Project Managers to join the Transport Partnerships team in the Delivery Directorate of the Combined Authority. The Combined Authority is shaping transport in the region and we are looking for Project Managers who have experience in capital projects and project management expertise to help deliver these exciting plans.
The role will be based predominantly in the Combined Authority’s offices in Leeds. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing project management leadership to major infrastructure transport schemes to improve transport in Leeds.
You will work with a wide range of stakeholders including senior managers, Members, developers and infrastructure providers to coordinate and deliver projects and lead on the design, organising and attending public consultation / exhibitions to seek stakeholder consensus on projects.
The role will also include support for business case writing and appraisal of business cases for both transport and economic regeneration schemes.
We are looking for candidates with a project management background who are proactive, with excellent communication skills and an ability to build strong partnership relationships.

Although not essential, it is desirable that the potholder’s have a good understanding of highway, transport and town centre regeneration principles and practices, however, experience in other infrastructure projects is acceptable. A proven ability to apply project management principles and techniques to a wide range of complex projects or programmes including financial management of projects/programmes is essential.
Based within the Delivery directorate, the Transport Partnerships team oversees partner delivery for major infrastructure including the £1bn West Yorkshire Plus Transport Fund, £173.5m package of transport improvements for Leeds and the aspirational CityConnect Programme across the Leeds City Region.
The Combined Authority brings together district partners, the business community via Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership and also takes in the former Passenger Transport Executive (branded Metro). Overall, the Combined Authority covers a population of around 2.5 million people and represents the largest economy outside London.
