We are recruiting for a Project Manager within the Transport Projects team working on a number of projects within West Yorkshire.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Combined Authority, following the announcement of a £1.8bn devolution deal that has been secured for West Yorkshire. Devolution will enable us to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and help deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038.

The Role

You will project manage the development and delivery of transport infrastructure projects across West Yorkshire to deliver our regional programme and transport priorities. This is done to PRINCE2 principles ensuring delivery to the required time, quality and cost, working in partnership with internal departments, and external partners such as Partner Councils, Developers, and multiple stakeholders to achieve joint objectives.

The role will be primarily based in Leeds City Centre, although there may be requirements to undertake site visits and meetings across the Leeds City Region.

About you

To succeed you will have experience of working in a project management / project delivery environment and have excellent organisation skills. Be a confident communicator with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive progress on project delivery. You will be positive, proactive, and have excellent communication skills. It is desirable that you have a good understanding of transport infrastructure principles and practices, however, experience working on other infrastructure projects is acceptable. Understanding or experience working on Rail projects would be beneficial.
