These Project Officer roles will be part of our new and rapidly expanding £317m Transforming Cities Fund (TCF) team with funding for 3 years based within the Delivery Directorate.

The Leeds City Region has been successful in securing one of the largest TCF awards in the country. It is an exciting and ambitious programme of transport infrastructure aimed at reducing reliance on car travel and increasing and improving infrastructure for public transport and cycling and walking. This programme is vital in meeting our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region.

The role

Reporting to the Project Manager for TCF Partnerships you will support the team in the delivery of complex projects and project manage the delivery of smaller scale projects and initiatives across the wider region delivering the £317m TCF programme within 3 years.

You will be a visible and enthusiastic team member, with a collaborative working style and will have the ability to build excellent working partnerships at all levels. Using project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, you will be supporting the delivery of projects to time, scope and budget in a fast-paced business change environment.

The role holder will be primarily based in Leeds City Centre, although there may be requirements to undertake site visits and meetings across the Leeds City Region.

About You

To succeed you will have experience of working in a project delivery environment and have excellent organisation skills. Be a confident communicator with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive progress on project delivery. You will be positive, proactive, and have excellent communication skills. You will be educated to a degree level or have equivalent practical experience of working in a similar role.

It is desirable that you have an understanding of highway, transport and regeneration principles and practices, however, experience working on infrastructure projects is acceptable.
