Grade I, SP1-4, £27,549 - £31,899 Based In Leeds City Centre Closing date – 22 December 2019 This is a permanent full time post (37 hours per week)

The West Yorkshire Combined Authority is seeking to strengthen its Implementation team which oversees a £1bn plus portfolio of capital projects.

 

The role


We are currently looking to appoint a Project Officer within our rail team. This position plays a key role in our Implementation Team, which is part of the Delivery Directorate. The role holder will work on a range of transport projects.

The successful candidate will support the rail team in the delivery of complex projects and project manage the delivery of smaller scale projects and initiatives. They will be a visible and enthusiastic team member, with a collaborative working style and have the ability to build excellent working partnerships at all levels.

 

The ‘Critical Success Factors’ section of the Role Profile sets out the typical responsibilities of a Project Officer.

Recent projects delivered by the team include new Rail Stations, Bus Station Refurbishments, Rail Station Park and Ride Extensions, Rail Station Improvements and Office Refurbishments.

 

The role holder will be primarily based in Leeds City Centre, although there may be requirements to undertake site visits and meetings across the Leeds City Region.

 

The person

You will be educated to a degree level or have equivalent practical experience of working in a similar role. You will have knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 and have experience of supporting the delivery of projects to time, scope and budget in a fast-paced business change environment.
