These Project Officer roles will be in our Transport Projects team within the Delivery Directorate, helping to deliver public transport and active travel projects included within the Transforming Cities Fund (TCF) and our wider transport portfolio.

The Leeds City Region has been successful in securing one of the largest TCF awards in the country. It is an exciting and ambitious programme of transport infrastructure aimed at reducing reliance on car travel and increasing and improving infrastructure for public transport and cycling and walking. This programme is vital in meeting our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region.

The role

You will support the Transport Projects team in the delivery of public transport and active travel projects and project manage the delivery of smaller scale projects and initiatives across West Yorkshire to deliver our TCF programme and our transport priorities.

You will be a visible and enthusiastic team member, with a collaborative working style and will have the ability to build excellent working partnerships at all levels. Using project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, you will be supporting the delivery of projects to time, scope and budget in a fast-paced business change environment.

The role holder will be primarily based in Leeds City Centre, although there may be requirements to undertake site visits and meetings across the Leeds City Region.

About You

The succeed you will have experience of working in a project delivery environment and have excellent organisation skills. They will be a confident communicator with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and drive progress on project delivery. You will be positive, proactive, and have excellent communication skills. You will be educated to a degree level or have equivalent practical experience of working in a similar role.
