  • An organisation that will support your professional development?
  • What about an organisation that has Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at the heart of everything that it does?
  • How about an organisation that does all these things and more?
  • Yes? Then look no further than the West Yorkshire Combined Authority! Listen to what our staff say on our 'Life at West Yorkshire Combined Authority' webpage.

In 2021 the £1.8bn devolution deal was secured for West Yorkshire. This meant the first Mayor of West Yorkshire was subsequently elected, with Tracy Brabin taking up post in May 2021. The devolution deal and election of the Mayor has enabled us to start to drive up living standards for local communities while tackling the climate emergency and helping to deliver our commitment to become a net zero carbon city region by 2038

Use your communications and marketing expertise to lead and shape one of the Combined Authority’s most ambitious projects over the next 20 years.

We seek a highly organised, confident, enthusiastic, and innovative person to join the Combined Authority’s Communications and Marketing Transport team to help make our vision of bringing a mass transit system to West Yorkshire a reality.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people with marcomms experience in the transport sector with significant experience in using behaviour change tactics and delivering large scale campaigns.

Our West Yorkshire Mass Transit Vision 2040 outlines our ambition to bring a new transport system for a greener, more inclusive and better connected West Yorkshire. We want to find the right person who can develop an integrated and inclusive campaign against a backdrop of an always evolving project.

This is a diverse role, and you will have the opportunity to work with senior leaders across the whole organisation and our district partners to deliver a mass transit communications strategy.
