We currently have a vacancy for a Service Manager (Business Funding) to join our Business Sustainability team.
We are creating a proactive flood resilience team as part of our business sustainability support. The flood resilience team will work across our business sustainability and capital grants team, primarily promoting flood resilience and climate readiness through the delivery of a capital grant scheme designed specifically for small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) across our region. You will play a key role in managing a small, dedicated team supporting the drive towards net zero and becoming climate ready.
The wider business sustainability team that you work alongside will be a catalyst for SME sustainability and resilience in our region – aiming to support local businesses with a fantastic, flexible package of advice and funding to plan towards net zero and climate readiness.

The Role
Reporting into the Senior Service Manager (Access to finance), the key responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Project manage delivery and finances of flood resilience and other capital grants schemes alongside the business sustainability support and access to finance teams.
- Deliver and maintain excellent working relationships with key programme stakeholders, partners and funding organisations.
- Line management of Programme Support Officers.

About you
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:
- Educated to Degree or equivalent relevant education or experience in business sustainability.
- Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role.
- Experience of managing complex programme/project budgets.
- Experience of prioritising, planning and organising workloads to manage expectations and deadlines.
- Experience of managing people including appraisals, performance management, disciplinary, recruitment and selection.
