The role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Delivery Directorate as a Transport Planner on a 6 month secondment.

We are shaping transport in the region and we are looking for a Transport Planner who has transport planning experience and project support experience to help deliver our exciting plans. 

Based at the West Yorkshire Combined Authority offices in Leeds, with occasional travel to the partner councils who you will work with to support the development and delivery of their transport projects.  You will be responsible for providing technical planning advice on major infrastructure transport schemes in both the Transport Partnerships and Transport Projects teams, as well as working closely with policy colleagues on future transport projects.

The role will also include support for business case writing and appraisal of business cases for both transport and economic regeneration.

 

The person

We are looking for a candidate with a transport planning background who is proactive and will be able to provide expert advice to support successful transport projects.

 

In line with the Combined Authority’s Secondments Policy, you must have 12 months’ service in your current role.
