We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our campaigns and strategic communications across all modes of travel and transport.

It is an exciting time to be joining the Combined Authority, following the delivery of the largest Mayoral devolution deal in England, and the election of the Mayor, Tracy Brabin, in May 2021.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead a talented team in promoting our ambitions across all areas of travel and transport including public transport, sustainable travel, strategic transport (mass transit and bus reform), active travel and infrastructure.

You will bring a positive, inclusive and collaborate approach and a motivation to make West Yorkshire the best place in the UK to live, work, visit and do business.

About you

You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience:

  • Educated to degree level or with equivalent industry experience, you will be confident leading a multidisciplinary team of marketing, communications and engagement professionals
  • Deep understanding of audience segmentation and developing behaviour change strategies
  • Detailed understanding of B2B and B2C audiences and channel strategies
  • A track record of developing, delivering and evaluating strategic communications and marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment, with multiple clients and priorities
  • Significant experience in planning, prioritising and organising team workloads to manage expectations and deadlines
  • Demonstrable experience in managing budgets, agencies and suppliers
