Regal Foods expands with £89,000 investment

The Bradford-based food manufacturer has expanded from selling to corner shops to supplying major UK supermarkets like Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons. They also export to over 40 countries worldwide.

Regal Food Group has received funding from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority. This will help them invest in new equipment to meet rising demand.

The well-established manufacturer has expanded from selling to corner shops to supplying major UK supermarkets like Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons. They also export to over 40 countries worldwide.

Regal Foods now offers over 100 different products, including, cakes, pastries, biscuits, savouries and juices under the Regal Foods and Yorkshire Bakery brands. They spotted a chance to make the popular snack, Bombay Mix, in the UK.

Regal Foods has kept supermarkets stocked throughout the pandemic and recently signed a UK-wide supplier agreement with Lidl.

As a committed member of the Bradford community, Regal Foods supports local initiatives. These include sponsoring junior football teams, donating to local food banks and charities and partnering with Yorkshire County Cricket Club to promote youth development.

This project received funding through the Combined Authority from the Leeds City Region Growth Deal-a £1 billion Government investment package aimed at accelerating growth and creating jobs across the region.
