Huddersfield-based medical technology company Paxman leads the Scalp Cooling sector. they manufacture and supply the Paxman Scalp Cooling System (PSCS) to over 60 markets worldwide.
Paxman’s device helps patients reduce the side effects of chemotherapy-induced alopecia (CIA). This side effect is often seen as one of the most traumatic parts of cancer treatment.
Paxman has a research centre at the University of Huddersfield. They aim to commercialise two new products in the next 12-24 months.
They export to 60 markets globally, with offices in Canada, Sweden and the USA. Regional managers are also based in France, India, Spain and Singapore.
The USA remains a key focus for the business. However, Asia will become more significant in 2024, with a potential launch in China afterward.
