Public asked for views on the Combined Authority

25 February 2019

Members of the public are being encouraged to put their questions to Leaders of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.

People can have their say on the Combined Authority's Your Voice engagement website or on Twitter using the hashtag #AskYourCA

An animation hosted on Your Voice, has been created to explain simply what the Combined Authority and Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) do, where their budget comes from and how it is spent to improve the region.

Part of the engagement also includes the opportunity for the public to ask Combined Authority Leaders open questions through the online website.

Cllr Susan Hinchcliffe, Chair of the Combined Authority and Leader of Bradford Council said: "As a public body, connecting with local residents to explain what our organisation does and giving them the chance to have a say on our work is a really important aspect of what we do. As we look ahead to a new financial year we want to ensure that we are being as transparent as possible about our funding and where our budget is spent so we can demonstrate the impact of our investment in the region.

"We want to encourage more conversations with the people who are impacted by our work and benefit from the projects we are delivering. I'd encourage everyone to send us their views either by completing the survey or asking me, or our other Leaders a question via our Your Voice hub or by using the #AskYourCA hashtag and tagging @WestYorkshireCA."
