Mytholmroyd

At Mytholmroyd rail station in Calderdale, we’re investing £3.95 million from the West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund to create approximately 200 new parking spaces.

Mytholmroyd

These will be the first formal parking spaces available at Mytholmroyd and will include ten Blue Badge bays. The scheme will also provide improved CCTV, LED lighting and enhanced drainage.

We also hope to provide electrical ducting provide to make possible any future Electric Vehicle charging points.

Working with the Mytholmroyd Station Partnership, planters and containers will be provided for “bee gardens” as well as informative community boards.

Mytholmroyd rail station is one of 14 projects within Phase 1 of our £30.5 million Rail Park and Ride Programme, which has been designed to increase station parking and provide people with increased access to train services. In turn, this will help reduce congestion, improve local air quality and enhance people’s access to jobs, training and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as leisure activities.
