Alison Lowe OBE, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, said: “This was an important national exercise and I welcome that the results are publicly available.

“Here in West Yorkshire, our police service already had robust vetting procedures in place which is reflected in the outcome.

“Maintaining trust and confidence in policing is crucial and it’s an area that we will continue to hold West Yorkshire Police to account on to achieve the highest standards.

“Reporting concerns is vital, if you ever feel an officer has committed a crime or is abusing their position then please contact the Professional Standards Department via 101 or online. You can also report to Crimestoppers or the Independent Office for Police Conduct.”
