How do I vote?

Voting will take place across West Yorkshire on 6 May 2021.

On 6 May 2021, residents in West Yorkshire will vote to elect the first Mayor of West Yorkshire. If you are not already registered, you will need to register by 19 April 2021. 

Registering to vote will allow you to vote in the mayoral, local council, and parish council elections. These are all taking place on 6 May 2021.

If you are not able to vote in person at a polling station you can apply to vote by post or you can vote by proxy and nominate someone else to vote on your behalf.
