The partnership continually drives three key areas of focus to ensure a consistent response to modern slavery across the West Yorkshire area:

  • Training
  • Awareness raising
  • Information sharing

Training

In West Yorkshire, we have a dedicated Modern Slavery Training and Partnerships Officer. If you would like to arrange training for your organisation, please contact humantrafficking@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk to discuss you requirements.

Awareness raising

Consistent awareness raising campaigns and communications are crucially important to ensure that our organisations and communities understand how to spot the signs of modern slavery and report concerns. If you would like more information on campaign materials please contact West Yorkshire Police at humantrafficking@westyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

Information sharing

The internet-based Partnership Intelligence Portal (PIP) is being used widely by partners to gather a better intelligence picture surrounding organised crime, including modern slavery. This will give key strategic partners the opportunity to submit intelligence to a central police triage team. On submission it is automatically emailed to the Intelligence Management Unit (IMU) at West Yorkshire Police. This is a 24/7 unit that triages intelligence submissions for the force.
