Candidates for West Yorkshire Mayor announced
The Candidates in the race to become the Mayor of West Yorkshire have been announced, as the deadline approaches for residents to register to vote in next month’s mayoral election.
Scrapping a HS2 Northern leg “another betrayal of the North”

Mayor of West Yorkshire Tracy Brabin said:
"This is yet another betrayal of the North which will punish passengers and businesses alike.
"As we have found with this government, the devil is in the detail, and we can’t take them at their word.
"Northern transport investment requires long-term planning and conversations with local leaders who know their areas best."
